It was early Saturday morning, around six, and Kristen could be found making her way to the gym. Most people would think her crazy. She was wasting one of her days that she was able to sleep-in to go work out? But Kristen didn't really care what people thought. One of the ways that she blew off steam, was by working out and playing soccer.
Last night had been another bad night in the Gregory household. First of all, Kristen's father had come home drunk. No surprises there. But, he'd been more mean then usual. Kristen had made her younger brother get the twins out of the house, and Kristen had made sure that her father hadn't beat her mother. Basically, Kristen was the person holding her family together, making sure that nothing too horrible happened. And it was all because of her father. Honestly, why didn't her mother just kick him out?
Kristen was determined never to fall for a guy like that. But, she was told all the time that she was a lot like her mother, so she was scared that that was exactly what would happen. That's why Kristen stayed away from relationships. She flirted here and there, and had even had flings here and there; but nothing ever lasted. Basically because Kristen never let them last. She never let herself fall for a guy.
Kris was wearing short black shorts, a pink tank top, and her black nike shoes. She entered the gym, and there were only a couple of people there. She made her way to the weights, and started lifting; counting mentally in her head. Kristen was in very good shape, and she was a good soccer player. She was the type of girl to not be concerned at all if she broke a nail or what not. She played hard, so she got banged up. No big deal to her. In fact, she was known to show off the scars that she'd received over the years from soccer, and by being restless.
She continued to lift, as she tried hard to keep her thoughts from her father. She instead, tried to concentrate on her friends. They had gotten her through a lot; especially this year now that they knew about her father and her home-life. And she really didn't know what she'd do without them. She breathed in and out as she lifted, her attention completely on the weights and her work-out. So far, she felt that she was blowing off steam pretty well. The anger was slowly fading away. But she knew that once she returned home, it would be back.
